What we do

Weekly Gatherings

We gather at 10:30am every Sunday, at 100 Drayton St Bowden. All welcome!

What to expect when you’re visiting:

Our gatherings are pretty casual, so you can wear whatever you like and come early to say hi to some of our people, or slip in the back after it starts.

We usually spend some time together singing some songs of praise and worship followed by a 15-20 minute message. Most weeks we also share in communion (participation is optional), a brief time of saying hello to someone, and coffee afterwards in the community hall (known as The Welcoming Centre). Every now and then after the message there might also be a facilitated discussion time. All up our gatherings usually go for around 90 mins.

If you have children we have a space at the back of the chapel for parents to sit with kids ages 0-3 and still participate in the gathering. If your child is 3+ we usually have Activate Kids after a couple of worship songs. This is offered most weeks of the year, except over the Christmas holiday break.

Activate Kids

Children are an important part of our community. They teach us about life and about ourselves, and they deserve an opportunity to learn and grow in their own words and in their own ways.

Activate Kids is designed for children aged 3 and up. Each week the children go out to our kids room with 2 leaders (all with DCSI clearances and current Childsafe training) for about 60 minutes, to have fun playing games, arts and crafts, learning about faith and making friends. At times the group will participate in gatherings to share what they are learning, and even serve the food afterwards!

Sunday gatherings are important but our weekday small groups help to facilitate deeper discussion and friendships. Our catalyst groups meet fortnightly in people’s homes to share a meal and/or talk about life, faith, gardening, hommus*, and connect to each other on a deeper level. *Other dips and condiments accepted.

Please email us via the contact page or connect on our Facebook Page to find out more about being part of a Catalyst.
