ON KAURNA LAND
We are honoured to gather on the lands of the Kaurna people, on which we also live, work and play. We recognise Kaurna as the traditional owner and custodians of the Adelaide Plains, and acknowledge their cultural and spiritual
relationship with the land, sea, waterways, and sky. We pay our respect to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today. We know that the privilege we enjoy came at great cost to others, that sovereignty was never ceded, and that injustice continues to this day. We commit ourselves to reconciliation, and to recognising Kaurna people in our words, actions and placemaking.
